How a WhatsApp QR works

  1. Enter the destination phone number with country code.
  2. Optionally add a prefilled message customers can send as-is or edit.
  3. Generate, style, and test the QR on a real phone with WhatsApp installed.
  4. Export for a card, sticker, or storefront sign via Print Studio.

Business cards, menus, and support

A chat QR shortens the path from “interested” to “conversation.” Useful on packaging, table tents, exhibition badges, and customer-support posters. The prefilled message can carry a product SKU, table number, or “I saw your booth” prompt.

Scanning opens WhatsApp (or prompts install) on the user’s device. QRburst never sends messages on your behalf.

Static chat links

If you change numbers or campaigns, generate a new QR. Printed codes keep the original URL forever. Prefer high contrast and enough physical size for storefront scanning — denser designs with logos need QR Lab and a real-device check.

Frequently asked questions

Does this use a QRburst redirect?
No. The QR encodes a direct WhatsApp URL (wa.me-style) built by QRburst’s local encoder. After print, it does not depend on QRburst servers.
Do I need a country code?
Yes. Enter the number in international format, starting with + and country code (for example +1… or +593…). Local formats without a country code often fail on other devices.
Is QRburst affiliated with WhatsApp?
No. WhatsApp is a trademark of its respective owner. QRburst is not affiliated with or endorsed by WhatsApp or Meta.
